Just a post of total indulgence.
Just got some comics that I had graded with CGC back today, though still waiting for a few more. These are a few of my favorite books, pretty heavy on the pre-Vertigo titles in general.
This included:
Watchmen #2
V for Vendetta #2, 7
Animal Man #1
Doom Patrol #19 (Beginning of Grant Morrison run)
Hellblazer #1
Lazarus #1 (Sketch Cover)
Sandman: Overture #4 Ultra Rare Variant
Sandman: Overture #3 Ultra Rare Variant
Shade, The Changing Man #1
Whenever you have comics graded with CGC it is always hit and miss how well your issues will do. I was incredibly happy to see the Sandman: Overture #4 Ultra Variant come in at a 9.8, which is very expensive on re-sale. At the same time the Sandman: Overture #3 Ultra Variant came in at 8.0, and I could swear they were in identical condition. The rest of the books generally came in as you would expect. Generally, you get what you pay for since any CGC grading will increase the re-sale value, but anything in the 9.0+ range is going to be on a hot market, and anything above 9.4 is a top dollar getter.
