Walking Dead is the kind of phenomenon that no one could have guessed.  For years, they said zombies were dead(no pun intended), black and white comics don’t sell, and there will be no truly successful television adaptations.  Now, with Walking Dead as a cable leader, with a new critically acclaimed spin-off happening, the comics have maintained the only consistent indie spot in the top ten comic sellers each month.  With almost a 150 issues released in its life, it can be a little confusing and intimidating to jump in, so luckily the reading order for the series is straight forward.

We have decided to compile a complete Walking Dead reading order that takes you through all the issues, but also pairs them with their trade paperback.  There are a lot of collection options, including hardcovers and massive Compendiums, but we are going to just use the ever popular trades here to break them up as these are probably the most common way people read the series.
