The darling book of New Lit, taking classic literature and mashing it up to bring in genre elements, is finally coming to the big screen.  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, for those who never jumped on the train, was a creation made by taking the text of Pride and Prejudice and adding text to make it a zombie story.  This was a great way of bringing a post-modern take on the classic English novel that invited people to both celebrate and mock classic literature.  This led to a string of similar books, one of which was Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  This became the first film versions of one of these, but Pride and Prejudice was the one that most people were waiting for.

Now the film is finally impending a release, and we have gotten the first trailer we can start salivating over.  Who’s getting their Victorian blood rage ready?
