The CW’s adaptation of the Vertigo book iZombie has already seen a surge in popularity, at least popularity enough to see it coming back for a second season.  From the creators of Veronica Mars, Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero, the series came in as a mid-season replacement, making the CW as a hit location for DC properties that may not find an audience elsewhere.  The series is notable for the amount of changes that it makes to the original source material, where it changes it to more of a crime/mystery series rather than a satirical take on Scooby Doo.  Maybe the series will drift more towards the source material come the second season.
