Now that the Civil War movie has been released from Marvel Studios, we have to start preparing for the biggest crossover event of the recently relaunched post-Secret Wars Marvel Comics Universe. Civil War II takes the main premise of the original Civil War and modernizes it ten years later, and hopefully integrates all of the character and plot changes that we have now seen from Marvel. Just as with the original Civil War, this will be one of the most sweeping tie-in festival we have ever seen.

If you intend on reading the entire event then you will have dozens of books beyond the main miniseries. This can be incredibly confusing for those who are not reading multiple Marvel books already(complicated for everyone, really) as you will have to find what books actually tie-in and in what order to read them. Luckily, we have created as close to a complete Marvel Civil War II reading order as we can, starting with the great work done by How to Love Comics and building on it. This is almost locked as a complete reading order, and we will add other titles as we find out the “what and when” about any other books for the list. You will notice that many of the miniseries on this list are not complete yet, so when those solicits come out we will put them on the list!
