Now that DC Rebirth has brought back the Watchmen into our collective consciousness, we thought it might be nice to return to the controversial Before Watchmen miniseries and how all of the books relate together in a coherent canon. While the Before Watchmen books have been roundly attacked by Watchman creator Alan Moore(as has most things), the books do try to round out the mythology a bit and add far more content than there ever was with the original Watchmen maxi-series. Adding in DC Rebirth, and now there is a complex set of books that are difficult to find the order for.
To solve this quandry, we have developed the complete Watchmen and Before Watchmen reading order, starting with the almost complete one offered by Comic Book Reader Orders. We are also adding the newest incarnation, and we will continue to add more if the Watchmen play a larger role in the DC Rebirth relaunch event.

What updates? You mean the Rebirth stuff? Doesn’t really seem like anything to put in there.

Since the last comment there is more including The Button Story Arc, some other stuff such as Titans in which the name Manhattan is read from a time travelling villain and the Lazarus contract in which Deathstroke sees “God” (Dr Manhattan) and decides to give up being a bad guy basically. Obviously Doomsday clock follows Rebirth and the Button directly in the watchmen storyline but all these are building up to doomsday clock.
